About

AWOB, the Astronomer's Workbench, is a communication, collaboration, coordination, data-evaluation and e-publication platform which allows scientific project groups of any size to share data, results, texts and further project relevant resources throughout the whole scientific lifecyle.

AWOB is a project of the Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) with the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA)) and the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) as partners. It has grown out of two main developments, the German Astrophysical Virtual Observatory (GAVO) and the MPDL's knowledge base and software pool for data management and long term data archiving.
